It can evaluate both the brain and blocked blood vessels, allowing doctors to make a diagnosis, administer lifesaving drugs and perform necessary procedures in the same interventional suite, all within the critical first hours of onset. The Comprehensive Stroke Center at LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital also includes a dedicated four-bed intensive-care unit and an integrated team of three full-time neurologists, three interventional surgeons, three critical care specialists, and a team of anesthesiologists and neurosurgeons, available to ensure that stroke patients receive the best possible multidisciplinary care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
