DESCRIPTION 
Perform various technical operations of General Radiology department.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to)
 Apply under the direction of the Head of Department/manager, the action plans aiming at improving the quality of services and the quality policy followed in the department.  Perform medical imaging exam as requested by the Head of department/manager and chief technician in and outside the radiology department.  Review and evaluate developed x-rays, or computer generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.  Prepare patients for procedures, including taking accurate medical history information and answering questions about the procedure.  Keep detailed patient records  Follow physician instructions on what areas of the body to image. Put the patient and the equipment in the location needed to get the correct image and protect him by shielding exposed areas that do not need to be imaged.  Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients and staff.  Monitor patients' conditions and reactions, reporting abnormal signs to physician.  Monitor video display of area being scanned and adjust density or contrast to improve picture quality.  Provide assistance with such tasks as dressing and changing to seriously ill, injured, or disabled patients.  Set up examination rooms, Keep it tidy, ensuring that all equipment is ready and disinfect.  Coordinate work with clerical personnel and other technologists.  Ensure the daily functioning as a team member with good professional care of the patient.  Check daily resources and refer to the manager of department.  Ensure by turn and under the supervision of the Head and the Manager of department the duties (nights, weekends and holidays) in the department.  Respect and abide by the protocol put forth by the hospital for radiation.  Follow and ensure strict safety procedures.  Respect and adhere to the mission, vision, and values of LAUMC-RH.  Initiate actions to predict the occurrence of non-conformities in materials and services.  Put corrective and preventive actions in place and follow through the process.  Perform other duties pertinent to this job as appropriate or as required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
 Technician Diploma manipulator.  Minimum of 2 years work experience in similar field.  PACS-RIS knowledge is a must.  Good knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).  Excellent verbal and written English skills. French is a plus.

 Must have aptitude for technical problem solving.  Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.  Ability to work effectively as part of a team effort and as an individual contributor.  Willingness to learn new techniques and procedures.  Able to work any scheduled shifts.  Willingness to learn new techniques and procedures.  Able to perform under pressure.  Excellent customer service skills.  Time Management  Good physical condition.
