Bridging Classroom Learning with Clinical Innovation at LAU

Wednesday, February 25, 2026

On February 24, 2026, second-year students from the Alice Ramez Chagoury School of Nursing at Lebanese American University took a hands-on step into the future of healthcare during their visit to LAU Medical Center–Rizk Hospital. As part of their Health Informatics course, students attended an engaging session on the Cerner system led by Mrs. Mabelle Younes from the Training Team at Auditorium D, followed by guided unit observations to see the system in action within real clinical settings. Through discussion and reflection, they explored how health informatics strengthens patient care quality, safety, and efficiency—transforming classroom knowledge into meaningful, practical experience.
