Create, implement and monitor a strategic plan that positions the Dietetic/Nutrition Department team members as advocates of medical nutrition therapy, resulting in high –quality, high value, and cost effective patient care.
Secure the execution of the NCP model, as part of a multidisciplinary medical approach, as described in the policy.
Orient the clinical dietitians in securing an appropriate nutritional diagnosis based on the assessment.
Define patient’s individualized nutrition care pathways as per clinical condition.
Monitor and evaluate the efficiency and efficacy of the implemented nutrition care process.
Develop a cyclic menu, in collaboration with the executive chef and the food services manager that includes therapeutic diets.
Conduct spot checks over meals served for conformance to prescribed diets and standards of palatability and appearance.
Provide direct guidance and preceptorship of interns throughout their clinical and food service rotations.
Plan, implement and evaluate on-site or outside hospital grounds health awareness and promotion activities/campaigns.
Develop, implement and monitor quality initiatives and nutrition care policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes.
Establish and integrate department’s goals with hospital-wide annual goals and visions to provide optimal nutrition care.
Enhance quality improvement projects.
BS Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognized university (required)
Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition (preferred)
At least 5 years of clinical experience in an acute care hospital
Experience in critical care nutrition, nutrition support, oncology, renal, and surgery is strongly preferred
Registered Dietitian with the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health (MoPH)
Member of the Lebanese Order of Dietitians (LOD)
