  • "To whom it may concern, On Tuesday December 3rd my baby girl Christy Boutros was admitted to Laumcrh. We had the chance to meet wonderful people that were like angels for us. Habib from the ER department with his warm welcoming althought he had a patient who was yeling in the Er wanted to do MRI now (@ around 6 pm) and from the first time he succeeded to take a lab exam for her (we all know how difficult to treat a little baby in a correct way). At the pediatric department we met many persons but an outstanding care and smile were from Ms Samia (PN) at night on Wednesday and Thursday treating my baby like her own, trying to help whenever she can.   • Hello, I am Christiane Azar, we are the 4th of November, and I have been in your premises since the 31 of October. What a breath of fresh air, what sparkles of light and sunshine in a gloomy Lebanon, and what an undeniable boost of hope in our beloved country. Yes I am talking about a medical condition, about pains, worries and fear, and about being treated and taken care of in a hospital, The LAUMCHR hospital. Evidently the presence of the latest technologies, cleanliness in walls, and rooms but above all people. After the indispensable background, it always amounts in the end to people. And what people! I could never be thankful enough for everybody; doctors, residents, nurses, radiologists, technicians, cleaning persons. All with their utmost skills and talents serving with extreme professionalism, disponibilities, open hearts and big smiles. Each making me feel as a person from their closest family. I entered your hospital with a neurological problem, I am beautifully treated; the medical team managed to create in me a feeling of complete trust. I feel I am in such good hands. For the moment being, I need to be assisted; I never once felt, at any hour of the day or the night, a load or a nuisance. I was always helped with a smile that made my life so easier and dignified. Or course the heart has always its preferences, but I would feel unfair, as tempted as I am, to cite specific persons. One last mention to the team’s spirit; they manage to remain a convivial group with a beautiful energy in such heavy days. Which means a great selection and training of everybody.   • A short note of thanks to your Oncology & Chemotherapy team. My metastatic prostate cancer needed harsh remediation, including chemotherapy. In such a situation, the approach of the hospital team is very important, not only in terms of analysis and treatment planning, but also during the treatment process itself. My wife and I want to thank those involved, for the professionalism and communication of the team led by Dr Ghanem, and for the supportive, approachable, and friendly manner of the entire chemotherapy department. The chemotherapy wasn’t enjoyable, but it was certainly manageable, and a big part of that was due to the environment provided by all involved, which surely contributed towards what seems to be a positive outcome so far. It was a long night however, with the way we were received and treated all passed so smoothly.   • I was taken care of by Nurse Colette, Manal and Rebecca. I was very scared and they went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. They made jokes, held my hand, gave me a phone to listen to music and even sang happy birthday to me (Sophia Khoury). The doctors (Dr. Chahine and Dr. Sayad) were very caring and encouraging although I gave them a very hard time and was very resistant. Feedback of the pre and post process (Nadine, mom of Sophia): It was such an easy and well-supported process to take the appointment, get the insurance approval, and take the call from the anesthesiologist. I practically did nothing. Nurse Colette took care of all the details and this was so stress relieving for me, especially that I am preparing to move to Canada and am very overwhelmed with many details. The staff were very caring and supportive and genuine. The whole experience was amazing. Thank you to all.

  • You may (or may not) recall, I was the guy from the US Embassy who came into the ER with a shattered elbow. I just wanted to thank you for all of your assistance that day. I have mentioned to Dr. Khourrey a few times that I would like to convey my gratitude to the emergency staff, as well as the nurses and doctors that took care of me during and after surgery. Dr. Khourrey only gave me your full name, so I can Google your email (though he mentioned the first names of the nurses, Leila and Desiree, and the residents, Elio and Ghad). If possible, please convey my thanks to them as well. If there is an opportunity to meet everyone at some point, that would be great. I still have my arm wrapped. I'm doing a bit of physical therapy, but it does seem that my break was complicated. This coming Wednesday, I will return to LAU MC for another series of x-rays and a visit with Dr. Khourrey to see how I am progressing.

I was personally present with Uncle Tarif and now with Tante Maha for her minor operation and the guy is really very very helpful. I thought of letting you know in case you can pass this info to his management. We rarely meet such people in Lebanon.

Starting from the preadmission unit to the nursing team to the rest of the healthcare team all of whom were helpful and professional.   • I wanted to write an email to you to give some feedback on my recent treatment I received at the LAU Rizk Medical Centre. My doctor and surgeon has been Dr Georges El-Khoury. I work at the British Embassy in Beirut and am from the UK. Dr El-Khoury operated on me on Monday 7th February to remove a small lump I had on my back. The procedure was thoroughly explained to me and I was very well looked after on the day. The nurses in my room were excellent and the Dr’s and anaesthetist Dr in the operating room were all excellent and very professional. I have also received excellent after care from Dr El-Khoury and his staff at reception have also been very friendly and helpful.   • A qui de droit, Tout a commencé le jeudi 22 juillet 2021 à 23h35 lors de la naissance prématurée de notre fils Elay Ghassan El Hkayem qui fut accueilli directement en couveuse. Dès ce moment débuta notre relation avec l’équipe du département NICU. Cette relation dura 12jours jusqu’au mardi 3 aout 2021. Ce fut la période la plus difficile pour mon mari et moi de ne pas pouvoir voir notre fils que sur RDV, de ne pas le porter et sentir son odeur. Mais la présence d’une telle équipe sous la surveillance de Mme Rana Abou Haidar fut exceptionnelle. Toutes les personnes présentes étaient à nos côtés à chaque seconde. A chaque appel téléphonique de ma part à n’importe quel moment : tôt le matin, durant la journée et même tard la nuit, les filles répondaient avec amour, respect et compréhension. Sans oublier mes visites tous les jours. Il suffisait d’entendre leur façon de parler et de nous donner des informations pour sentir que notre fils était en de très bonnes mains et en sécurité. Cette équipe est exceptionnelle et unique. Je tiens à remercier chaque personne : Rony Semaan, Maro Matossain, Hind Abdel Massih, Jihane Al Amin, Vanessa El Kareh, Julia Al Aridi, Alik Stanboulian, Dima Abou Hamdan, Rita Matta, Claude Saad, Hala Saad et Anna Hannouch.   • All I can say about LAUMC-Rizk Hospital Covid-19 Vaccination Village is: Chapeau Bas. I've never experienced such professionalism. Everyone's smiling, welcoming, and friendly. There was no waiting queue, without any time delay concerning appointments. The Residents in charge made a medical investigation and answered questions (if any) in the clearest way possible. In the 15mn post-vaccination, many of them were checking any possible side effect(allergy, tachycardia, elevation of blood pressure..). That was a neat vaccination campaign, and thank you for all your efforts.

  • I am writing this email to share my appreciation and positive experience at LAUMC-RH following the delivery of my baby on April 3rd, 2025. It was truly an outstanding experience, especially in comparison to my previous delivery at AUH. From the very beginning, I was impressed by the professionalism and attention to detail. A day before my delivery, the nurses took a blood test to ensure that anaesthesia would not cause any side effects — something that had not been done during my previous experience at AUH. I found this step highly professional and reassuring. Moreover, the nursing staff provided excellent care to both me and my baby. They were always smiling, patient, friendly, and hardworking — a remarkable difference from what I had previously experienced elsewhere. I would also like to express my deep gratitude to Dr. Lena Hashem, who was exceptionally responsive, professional, and caring throughout the process. This positive experience is one I’ve been happily sharing with family and friends, especially as many have had less favourable experiences at other hospitals such as AUH and CMC.
