Dear LAU Medical Center – Rizk Hospital Team,
I am writing this message with a heart full of gratitude and appreciation. My endoscopic discectomy on August 21, 2025 (today) was not just a medical procedure for me—it was an experience where I truly felt surrounded by care, compassion, and professionalism at every step. From the moment I walked in until the moment I left, I was embraced by a team that went above and beyond in every way.
I have always heard people say that medical teams are God’s angels on earth. Today, I can say with certainty that I have seen and felt those angels through each one of you. Your warmth, kindness, and humanity made me feel safe, reassured, and deeply cared for during a time when I needed it most.
I want to take a moment to thank by name the wonderful people who left such a mark on this journey:
Dr. Camille Samaha – my doctor, whose expertise, patience, and faith have guided me with so much reassurance.
Mirna Nader – my constant support for the past three years, always by my side, never dismissing a message or concern, always offering comfort and care.
Nurse Hanaa Hamieh – who welcomed me so warmly and helped prepare my admission with such kindness.
Dr. Elie and Dr. Nour – for their gentle approach during the pre-op admissions.
Thérèse Bou Moussa – from the admissions office, who made everything feel easier and smoother.
Nurse Nada – for her calm and caring presence in the pre-op preparation team.
Hassan Yassine and “3ammo” Georges – the transporters, whose kindness and smiles made the process lighter.
Dr. Christopher Sarkis, Dr. Christopher Khouri, Resident Dr. Joseph Mouwad, and Ali – for their incredible teamwork in the OR.
Dr. Hanan Barakat – hands down the best anesthesia doctor, but beyond that, one of the kindest and most wonderful humans I have ever met. I felt completely safe under her care.
Nurse Feryal – for her gentle and attentive post-op care.
The radiologist lady on the morning shift – whose name I regret not asking, but whose care I will always remember.
And everyone who has been part of my journey and I have not mentioned by name. I truly apologize but my memory couldn't serve me better.
Each one of you, in your own way, carried me through this journey with love, patience, and professionalism. I cannot put into words how comforting it is to be treated not just as a patient, but as a human being with fears, hopes, and emotions—all of which you held with so much tenderness.
A very special thank you to Dr. Samaha and Mirna. For three years, you have both stood by me, listened to me, reassured me, and never once dismissed my worries. You have been a constant source of strength, and I feel incredibly blessed to have you on my side.
Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, for being the angels that you are. I will forever carry this experience with me with gratitude and warmth.
With all my appreciation and love,
Christine Elie Zoughaib (Touma)
